What Is the Production Process for Custom Outerwear Manufacturing?
Custom outerwear at Vainnx moves through six controlled stages: tech pack review, material sourcing, sample making, fit approval, bulk production, and final inspection. With a confirmed tech pack, the full cycle typically runs 3–6 weeks depending on design complexity and order volume.
Six Stages, In Order
-
1. Tech Pack Review
We check measurements, construction details, trims, and print or embroidery specs to resolve any issues before cutting begins.
-
2. Material Sourcing
Fabrics, linings, zippers, and trims are sourced to specification, with lab-dip color matching for custom colorways.
-
3. Sample Making
A pre-production sample and size set are sewn to verify construction, fit, and finishing details.
-
4. Fit Approval
You review the sample and we revise until fit and details are locked before mass production starts.
-
5. Bulk Production
Approved styles move into cutting, sewing, and assembly with inline quality checks at every stage.
-
6. Inspection & Finishing
Final AQL-based inspection, pressing, tagging, and packing prepare the order for shipment.
Timing and Conditions to Know
- Sampling adds roughly 7–15 days before bulk production can start.
- Complex designs with multi-layer construction, custom trims, or heavy embroidery extend lead time.
- Bulk production typically takes 2–4 weeks depending on order volume.
- MOQ and fabric availability affect scheduling, so confirm both before finalizing the tech pack.
Summary
Once your tech pack is clear, Vainnx turns it into production-ready outerwear through a controlled, QC-checked process where every stage is gated by approval. Review our custom jackets to see the styles and customization options available.
